Why can't we just call lactic acid fermentation "lactic acid fermentation"?

I have to write a report on lactic acid fermentation for my second-year lab, but it really pisses me off that people keep focusing only on the "milk" part of lactic acid fermentation and talking about how harmful it is. Please, stop telling me I can't write that milk is bad. I get it if you want me to create a certain image, but I'm just trying to write a report, and you're getting in the way.
